Dashiell Hammett wrote only five books. This is the sixth.

Dashiell Hammet was the author of the world famous MALTESE FALCON which changed the face of crime writing forever. He died in 1961.

Dashiell Hammett
Dashiell Hammett, born in 1894, is the author of five novels, including The Maltese Falcon and The Thin Man. He had spells as a newsboy and stevedore before joining the Pinkerton Detective Agency, which laid the foundation for his writing career. He died in 1961.
